If you are interested in guaranteed bookings, regardless of time of year... Come along and have a look at http://www.discoandkaraokehire.co.uk/theanswer/ and have a look at the opportunity available.

November and December arent too great here at the moment. But October wasnt fantastic either but thats started to pick up. So its just Nov & Dec now.

What areas would you work in Dave and what will you go out for. If so if i get anything in myself ill pass you some work on at the right price of course otherwise it wouldnt be worthwhile.

David... having spoken to you on the phone earlier today I roughly know what you are doing but I am slightly concerned about the claim above. In this fickle world of ours I don't think anyone can guarantee anything.

I agree!

As we are currently developing the forum rules, one of them is going to be that all business requests and offers will be discussed in a dedicated Looking to Hire a DJ forum ONLY.

This thread started out as a generic, "hasn't it been quiet" thread - let's keep it that way please.

As always Dave I'll keep em peeled.

A couple of places I worked in your area lately are; The Lowry, The Crown Plaza and The Midland and at all of those places I was asked for cards and the staff were moaning about the standard of DJs they were getting sent. But, remember this is the opps staff and not the staff in the offices so dunno if its worth putting on your suit and getting out there.

The Midland especially were very keen to have cards off me and its a very busy buzzing type of place with a fabulous atmosphere, TBH looking at the other DJs working there on the same night as me...well lets just say they weren't the type of DJ one would expect to be working a high profile City centre hotel biggrin.gif

Good luck, sure it will pick up.

Just to clarify... The thread "hasn't it been quiet" was started in an attempt to generate a solution or looking for suggestions on how to positively benefit from work available.

1) I have simply posted a reply well within the boundary of that request
2) Disco & Karaoke Hire contractually 100% GUARANTEE to all entertainers who we feel are suitable and enter into agreement with the a minimum of 5 bookings will be provided to that particular entertainer within 12 months (regardless of how fickle this little world is, or how sceptical people are).

I am happy to answer any questions on this or any other matter.
I did not intend to draw from the original thread and am saddened that this has been the case at such an early stage.
Disco & Karaoke Hire offer a very real and completely genuine service to professionals in this industry and have entertainers who would be only too happy to testify to that effect. Therefore I feel that negative comments like in particular the query of a guarantee offered by Disco & Karaoke Hire is unwarranted. (Sorry Sandy... I don't mean to be argumentative but this needs to be clarified before having a negative impression on our services.

Hello!

Not sure if its up your alley, but I'm looking to hire a starcloth - 2m x 5m roughly? Dry hire, Thursday 22nd. Could get it couriered there and back if you want? Have you got an equipment list these days?

Dave

Dave,

Thank you for considering Disco & Karaoke Hire.

I'm afraid the simple answer to your request is 'no'.

Unfortunately we don't offer equipment hire.

Regards,

David

Cool. Looking for people in north west ideally, as I've had a decent offer for it already... we shall see.

Cheers.
