Ok, who's in the North West UK?

That is, Lancashire, Cheshire and The Lakes... prefer to keep this side of Manchester and also to stay out of Manchester.

You don't have to be based in these areas so long as you do regular weddings in them.

I'd like to chat to some of you about offering an "extra" which you could offer to your prospective client which I would then provide and in doing so you'd get an agreed commission.

Whilst keeping the details brief (very brief) at the moment this would be an "extra" that you Don't, Won't or Can't provide.

So the run down:

Must be work-based in the Northwest as mentioned above

Must cater to the higher end clients, chav weddings not accepted.

Can be arranged direct with clients or through DJ, if through DJ then DJ must cover any Reservation Fee's as per contract. (commissions can be paid by cash, cheque or Transfer)

So! Who's interested?

Even if your client decides to book another DJ, Band etc, you might still earn some commission if they take my Service.

Its interesting Phil but I know what you are up to...In all fairness you have to tell folk what you are up to, its not as if anyone is able to pinch your idea...well unlikely due to the outlay involved....personally I think its sellable to some of my clientsup until now, I've only ever heard of a hotel offering the service as part of their top package.

I know what you're saying Andy.

At the moment it's an idea.. it's a simple "tangible product service" that any good DJ can offer to their clients or indeed ADD to their websites as a stand alone service.

Some clients might simply book this service but not require the DJ, in which case the DJ get's commission for doing VERY little work!

Of course it's not just DJs who can offer this, it's anyone in the industry, anyone at all.
So I will be looking into those circles too.

As for keeping it a bit of a mystery, that's just me smile.gif over the years I have learnt to keep things close to my chest.

The amount of good ideas that have been taken and used en-mass before I can do much with them has soured the buds.
Not just in the DJ world, it's happened most of my life. sad.gif

And yes you are right again, not everyone can compete, not unless they sell their houses, hehe

We'll have to have a chat Andy about this, if you're interested.

So no takers then?

Doesn't really cost you anything to add this to your extra's offerings,, if someone take sit then you earn an easy £50 for passing some details.

No wonder DJs don't earn mega bucks in the UK wink.gif hehe

How about offering these services as extra's or if you prefer "Preferred Partners" to your clients:

Hog Roast, Evening Buffet, Wedding Lighting (if you don't already do so) and Supercar Hire.

It would be £50 commission for each service, Lighting might come in a bit lower though really depends on what they take, but the Commission will be to a set formula so everyone will get what they deserve.

So no takers?

Phil; if I have a client that I think might bite then I will mention it to them...so yes guess I am a taker biggrin.gif

Some clients you just know its not worth asking as they wouldn't pay and others might and as they are my clients I have to make the decission as to if I should approach them about it or not as it's so easy to pizz folk off by pushing extra things at them.
