just got back from going to the local shop and my partner has realised that she is no longer wearing her engagment ring. Its a real downer, not just on the money it cost to buy, but knowing that that was the ring i propsed with, getting another one just doesnt seem the same.

I stupidly didnt get the insurance as i know our household ins covers it, but i never got round to adding it on there. Bloody typical!

i doubt it we looked for ages around the shop, its only a small shop and went everywhere in there. But it could have come off when we got out of the car, problem is we have an inch of snow here at the moment and you just couldnt see anything. We let the shop people know about it and my partner used to work there so if they find it we know they will hand it in.

Its just very frustrating and my g/f is really upset we only got engaged at xmas so she hasnt even had it 2 months sad.gif

I know its not the same but maybe the house insurance will cover it anyway. I know for sure that with mine I don't have to list individual items unless they are considered luxury and exceed £2k in value per item. I recently looked into all this as I have a valuable collection of 1/43 diecast model cars and most insurance companies nowadays realise that people do have higher value items in their homes. Things people carry on their person when out of the home are also increasing in value.

Anything over £500 must be listed, i checked as soon as we got home becuase i knew i hadnt added it to the items. Even though i dont want to be paying for another ring, its more the sentiment of "the" ring that i asked her to marry me with.

Still feeling really shitty about it sad.gif

YAY!!!!!! We have it back

Thank you to the very very kind lady who handed in the ring at the local shop. I just proves that there are still some genuine people left.
