I've only used the HC4500 and I chose this over the HD2500 due to the seperate screens and because it was around £300 cheaper! Mind you, the price difference is much smaller now (<£100), so the HD2500 would probably be the better bet - the only thing, is that if that crashes then you'd have to have the PCs internal sound card wired to somewhere to be able to carry on playing.

i can get the HD for about £275plus Vat. Ive used one a few times but not linked in with VDJ, think ill have to take the plunge and get one, also means i can take a very small rig and just use the HD without VDJ.

I think the 2500 is excellent and crashing isn't an issue any more, in the early days it used to crash but I think it was something to do with the hard drive, for a start it went to sleep if the drive wasn't used for about 15 minutes and generally I think it was just a rubbish drive but I have had a new drive for over a year now and not the slightest problem from it.

I have a mate who has 6 or so Numarks like Sandy's and he has them installed in various places and a couple on his mobile rigs and swares by them.

Never used the 4500 so can't comment.
